Jump to RecipeWhy make my own protein bars?
Believe me when I say that I have tried a LOT of homemade protein bars in the past. Forget homemade. I have tried a lot of store-bought protein bars as well. One problem for me when it comes to store-bought protein bars is that I can never find one that has ingredients that are natural. Most store-bought bars have lots of sugar alcohols, taste like chalk, and cost an arm and a leg. So after trying many different types of homemade protein bar recipes, I have finally found the easiest and most nutritious recipe.
What ingredients do I need to make these no-bake protein bars?
6 Simple Ingredients:
- Rolled oats
- Vanilla protein powder
- Almond butter
- Honey (to make vegan, use maple syrup)
- Vanilla
- Chocolate chips (I use stevia-sweetened)
- Optional: salt
The best part about these oatmeal chocolate chip protein bars is that they legitimately take only 10 minutes to mix together. Check out my idea pin that follows a quick video showing just how easy these are to make. The last thing that makes these bars so easy is this pampered chef bar mold. This recipe makes exactly 12 bars, and when you use a bar mold, it makes life so much easier. If you can’t get a hold of a bar mold, do not worry! I have a note down below detailing the use of a 9×9 square pan.
