So I introduce this Chocolate PB Protein Baked Oatmeal! This protein oatmeal bake combines the richness of chocolate, the creaminess of peanut butter, and the hearty texture of oats into a satisfying morning meal that’s both nutritious and delicious.

Well besides for chocolate and peanut butter being the best flavor combination to exist, this oatmeal bake is actually super healthy and satiating. A lot of baked oatmeal recipes leave me hungry within the very hour, but this recipe is so packed of protein and healthy fats that it keeps me full until lunch! I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a win in the midst of a busy day!
This chocolate PB protein oatmeal bake also perfect for meal prep throughout the week. It keeps in the refrigerator for at least a week and is so easy to heat up in the morning. Sometimes I’ll have this oatmeal bake as a snack or even a dessert– IT’S THAT GOOD.
Not to mention, it can be made gluten free, dairy free, and is totally vegan;)
What do I need to make this protein oatmeal bake?
Well, lucky for you the ingredient list is as simple as the name suggests.
Ingredients:
- Chocolate protein powder (I use TumLove, but any plant-based powder will be perfect here. Whey protein works too, but see notes for consistency changes below)
- Bananas (the riper the better;)
- Peanut butter (drippy is best!)
- Maple syrup (or any liquid sweetener)
- Old-fashioned oats (gluten-free work great too!)
- Almond milk (any milk works here)
- Baking soda
- Optional: dark chocolate chips, salt, vanilla extract

Chocolate PB Protein Oatmeal Bake
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 scoops chocolate protein powder *see notes below for whey protein
- 2 tbsp drippy peanut butter
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats gf work great!
- 1 cup almond milk any milk works!
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips I use a stevia-sweetened brand (also optional)
- 1 pinch of salt optional!
- ½ tsp vanilla extract optional!
Instructions
- FIrst, preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease a 9 x 9 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Right to the pan, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- One the bananas are mashed add the remaining ingredients and mix until fully combined and smooth. Top with the chocolate chips and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the oatmeal bake cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Top with an extra drizzle of peanut butter and serve with some yogurt for an extra boost!
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week!
