Well, as always, I am so glad you asked;) The ingredients are simple and healthy ingredients making it a nutritious and quick fix for any time of day!
Ingredients:
- Frozen banana
- Pure pumpkin
- Vanilla protein powder (I use TumLove)
- Almond butter (any nut or seed butter will work here!)
- Pumpkin pie spice (you can use a combo of cinnamon and nutmeg too!)
- Almond milk (I like to use creamy, unsweetened almond milk but any nut milk will work!)
- Toppings: coconut whip cream, cocoa nibs, pumpkin spice, chocolate chips, granola
Is this smoothie good for me?
Absolutely! This protein smoothie is packed with nutrition. The pumpkin offers tons of vitamins, the almond butter adds healthy fats, and the protein powder obviously adds protein to help muscle repair. The banana and protein powder add the perfect amount of sweetness. I also like to add a fun topping of whip cream or cocoa nibs for more deliciousness.
This pumpkin protein smoothie is also vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and is low FODMAP (using the right protein powder). You really can’t go wrong with this recipe! I seriously make this smoothie ON REPEAT during fall, I really hope you give it a try;)
