Equipment

  • 1 Blender

Ingredients

  • cup frozen strawberries see notes for fresh strawberries*
  • 1 ripe banana fresh or frozen
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • ½ tbsp almond butter or any nut butter (also optional)
  • 1-1½ cup almond milk or any milk of choice*

Instructions

  • Start by blending all the ingredients together in a high-powered mixer. Add the banana first, then the strawberries, protein powder, almond butter, and lastly, the milk! Blend on high until it's creamy. Make sure it's super smooth and feel free to adjust the consistency as desired!
  • Top with extra almond butter or any other topping of choice. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

*You could use fresh strawberries in this recipe as well, but I would recommend adding about 1/2--1 cup of ice to make up for the lack of coldness!
*Any milk works for this recipe. If you are dairy free, any nut milk will work great. Also, the amount of liquid totally depends on your blender and how liquid-y you want this smoothie to be. If you want it easily drinkable use at least 1 cup, but probably closer to 1 1/2 cup of milk would be best for that! If you want it thicker, start with 3/4 cup of milk. Adjust as needed!
